DESTINATION RECOVERY
Destination Recovery is an innovative programme developed by Themis at Burnley College.
Its core objective is to play an integral role in boosting the region's economic recovery and skill base - working on a tailored basis with employers and individuals alike - following the widespread impact on industry by Covid-19. There will be a key focus on the diversification opportunities available to employers and individuals alike using their existing skills base; technical capabilities and professional qualifications.
Destination Recovery will call upon the expertise within industry and academia at Burnley College to provide bespoke, viable pathways and change management programmes for employers and individuals alike to explore, alongside accredited, independent careers advice and access to professional networks.
Themis believes that Lancashire has the existing skills, motivation and confidence to adapt to the changing industrial landscape and through Destination Recovery will be the powerhouse behind this transformation.
Assistant Principal Neil Burrows will tell us why he's so passionate about Destination Recovery and why a growing number of local manufacturers are getting on board to support this fantastic programme.
Unlike many networks, Making it in Lancashire is a closed group and focuses on the needs of manufacturing businesses only. Non-members from within the industry are welcome to attend.
