This course provides a sound introduction to the role of export and import and gives delegates an overall picture of how the many elements of international trade fit together. Delegates will explore the wider commercial implications of international trade for their company and learn about the global trade environment and many of the practicalities and terminology used.

This course gives newcomers to international trade a clear insight into basic procedures, good practice and the essential terms they are likely to meet. This is also an ideal course for people who are not directly involved in international trade but work with those who are.

By the end of the course, delegates will have a broad knowledge of the environment and practicalities of international trade and the considerations for their company.

Qualification criteria:

This course covers 1 module.

The Foundation Award in International Trade consists of 10 modules, identified as important elements of any overseas business development and vital for key employees involved in the fulfilment of overseas trade. To help with individual's professional development in international trade functions, achieving a merit or pass on 6 of those modules will complete the Foundation Award (NVQ Level 2).

Cancellation Policy:

In the event of a booking being cancelled prior to the scheduled course date, the following charges will apply:

30+ days notice = 25%
14-30 days notice = 50%
<14 days notice = 100%

Bookings can be transferred to a later date but will incur a £10 administration fee.
